The 2nd People’s Art Festival for Celebrating the Day of the Shining Star, the birthday of Chairman Kim Jong Il, will take place in Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK.

The festival, to be held on the occasion of the 82nd birth anniversary of Kim Jong Il, is a grand political art festival for praising the great man, the reflection of the loyalty and noble moral obligation of all the people across the country to convey his revolutionary career and exploits and glorify the cause of the sun forever.

The festival, divided into the categories of art troupes, art squads, itinerant art squads and art groups, will be held at theatres and halls in the capital city including the People’s Palace of Culture from February 11 to 18. It will also include a magic festival.

It will bring together excellent organizations selected from different regions and units.
