Story Associated with Seats of May Day Stadium

Politics 2024.2.2.

One September day in Juche 102(2013) the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un inspected the May Day Stadium, which is associated with the leadership exploits of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il, with grandiose plan to remodel the stadium into an all-event stadium to be proud of in the world.

That day he learnt about the spectators’ seats.

In fact, the spectators’ seats had faded at a great distance of time.

Being informed about it, the respected General Secretary stressed the need to install new attractive chairs to the spectators’ convenience in order to radically change the appearance of their seats.

Officials were so shocked, because it was easier said than done to replace 150 thousand of seats with new ones at a stroke.

But they could not understand everything of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un’s world of creation until then.

Afterwards the respected General Secretary came to the May Day Stadium under construction and learnt in detail about the construction, especially the spectators’ seats.

At that time officials in charge of construction failed to map out the clear plan how to adjust harmony of colors of seats.

Learning about it, the respected General Secretary instructed as follows:

When the seats are disposed in order of red, blue and white colors, symbolic of the national flag of the Republic, the appearance of the stadium would be conspicuous. The construction sector should conduct not only the design but also the construction in a way that the subject prominently stands out. In a word, even when painting, it should be done in such a way of showing what it means.

The officials were very excited while receiving the precious instructions of the respected General Secretary who led them step by step.

So, the May Day Stadium has had spectators’ seats of three colors; red, blue and white.

Thanks to the wise leadership of the respected General Secretary, the May Day Stadium came to be given a face-lift as a monumental edifice.
