Attaching Importance to Science and Technology Should be National Custom
One October day in Juche 108(2019), the respected General Secretary
That day he met its officials and praised that the farm was awaiting for him with interesting scientific and technological achievements, expressing his great satisfaction at the species of dry-field rice newly cultivated at the farm.
The science and technology is an all-powerful key and mighty weapon enabling us to build an economic power while overcoming the facing difficulties and trials.
Therefore, he valued more than others the fact that the farm firmly attached importance to science and technology and was so pleased to see the successes the farm made.
After a while, saying that everyone should take proper attitude that the assigned task must be carried out by dint of science and technology in the age of science and technology, age of the knowledge-based economy, he indicated clearly that the viewpoint of holding fast to science and technology and carrying out the assigned task with one’s own efforts is just one we should have in the age of the knowledge-based economy.
And he continued that we should make all the spheres and units of the country firmly maintain the viewpoint and fighting spirit of overcoming the difficulties encountered by dint of science and technology and attaching importance to science and technology should be a national custom.
Indeed, implied in the instructions given by the respected General Secretary that day was his deep intention to make the whole country attach importance to science and technology and bring rapid development by dint of modern science and technology anywhere in the country.
First Is Scientific Accuracy
One April day in Juche 108(2019), the respected General Secretary inspected the Sinchang Fish Farm.
That day, he stressed that its officials should adhere to fish farming as a major political task, saying that it is the Party’s plan and intention to make our people lead a sufficient life while taking fishes of higher quality including rainbow-trout and salmon.
He said that in order to breed fishes well as planned and intended by the Party, the first is to put the fish farming on a scientific basis.
Listening to his saying, officials were deep in thought.
'The fish farming is a job to benefit from living organism. So, if it fails to do in keeping with scientific and technical law, the success cannot be expected.
In the light of that, have we done fish farming as required by science and technology?'
That day, the respected General Secretary said that it was important to make food chain in breeding various kinds of tasty fishes with high productivity in the natural environment and gave detailed instructions about the feeding habits of fishes and fish farming method suitable to the natural and geographical situation and ecological characteristics of relevant areas.
Looking up to the respected General Secretary who explained easily about various sci-tech issues related with fish farming, the officials made a firm determination to definitely give priority to science and technology as he taught.
