Preparations for Implementing Regional Industry Development Policy Brisk in Provinces of DPRK

Economy 2024.2.4.

True to the grand plan and intention of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, all provinces are actively conducting the organizational and political work to thoroughly implement the regional development 20×10 policy.

They have organized non-permanent provincial promotion committees for the policy headed by chief secretaries of the provincial Party committees and established a well-regulated work system, concentrating efforts on such advance preparations as the reinforcing of design forces and the selection of sites.

Provincial, city and county Party committees have taken steps necessary for creating raw material bases after grasping their regional industrial situation while intensifying the Party and policy guidance over the implementation of the regional development policy.

"Let us dynamically push forward the ’regional development 20×10 policy’ true to the resolution of the Political Bureau of the Party Central Committee!", "Grand programme, gigantic revolution" and other slogans, mottos and visual aids were displayed in streets and at worksites and appealing broadcasting service and art agitation campaign were launched to further raise the working people’s zeal for the revolution and struggle.

The non-permanent provincial promotion committees are taking practical measures to train technicians and skilled workers needed for regional industrial factories to be built this year and to rationally adjust and distribute raw material bases in favor of cultivation conditions.

Officials across the country are filled with firm determination to fulfill their duties assigned by the Party, the country and the people in the struggle to eliminate the centuries-old backwardness of local areas and realize the long-cherished desire of their inhabitants and bring about a radical change in the realm of people’s understanding by vigorously promoting the development of regional industry.
