A team for promoting scientific farming strives to provide scientific guarantee for fulfilling the grain production goal advanced by the Workers’ Party of Korea.

The team intensifies the work for selecting seeds, advanced agricultural science and technology, products and multimedia programs to be introduced this year while familiarizing itself with the weather conditions, soil conditions and last year’s farming of relevant regions in connection with the Agricultural Commission and agricultural guidance organs at all levels.

The work to dispatch teams for promoting scientific farming methods to different parts of the country is being stepped up to help every province, city and county work out a plan for scientific farming suited to the specific conditions of relevant regions.

Efforts are being directed to enhancing the ability of agricultural scientists to make sure that the proposals to be sent for each farming period prove more effective for boosting grain production.

The team discusses selecting research findings and advanced agricultural science and technology-based goods that are clear effectiveness of increased grain and improved the growth of crops after learning about last year’s overall state of grain production and farming processes of the whole country in connection with the Agricultural Commission.

On the table are also the issues of undertaking major tasks including the work for making phosphate fertilizer out of phosphorite rock and establishing production processes of potassic compound fertilizer and sulphur.
