A national photo exhibition "Great leadership, immortal exploits" opened with due ceremony at the People’s Palace of Culture on Monday to mark the 82nd birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il.

Displayed at the venue of the exhibition are photos showing the undying revolutionary exploits and noble personality of Kim Jong Il and the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who ushered in a great heyday of building a powerful socialist country dignified with independence, prosperous with self-supporting in economy and strong with self-reliance in national defence.

The photos deal with the noble revolutionary career of Kim Jong Il who developed the Workers’ Parry of Korea (WPK) into a revolutionary party in which the ideological and leadership system of the leader has been firmly established, a mother party which forms a harmonious whole with the popular masses and serves them and an invincible party with iron-like discipline and fighting efficiency.

There are also photos dealing with the devoted efforts made by Kim Jong Un who put his heart and soul into providing the people with great happiness as early as possible, true to the lifetime intention and desire of the Chairman.

Present at the opening ceremony were Ri Il Hwan, secretary of the WPK Central Committee, Ri Myong Chol, secretary of the Pyongyang Municipal Committee of the WPK, officials concerned and working people in the capital city.

Minister of Culture Sung Jong Gyu made an opening address.
