DPRK players prove successful every day at the 2024 Asian Weightlifting Championships.

Ri Song Gum took three gold medals by lifting 95kg in snatch, 125kg (new world record, new Asian record) in jerk and 220kg (new world record, new Asian record) in total at the women’s 49kg category.

Kang Hyon Gyong and Pak Myong Jin, too, took the first place in snatch, jerk and total respectively.

Kang Hyon Gyong lifted 104kg (new world record, new Asian record) in snatch, 123kg in jerk and 227kg in total at the women’s 55kg category.

Pak Myong Jin lifted 134kg in snatch, 172kg in jerk and 306kg in total at the men’s 61kg category.
