Officials of the trade unions from across the DPRK made a study tour of the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu with the firm will to accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche pioneered in Mt Paektu through generations.

A meeting of starting the tour was held at the plaza before the statue of President Kim Il Sung at the Samjiyon Grand Monument on Tuesday.

The participants laid a floral basket before the statue of the President and paid tribute to him.

Choe Song Nam, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea, made a speech at the meeting to be followed by speeches.

At the end of the meeting, the participants made a round of the Samjiyon Revolutionary Battle Site.

Being briefed on the fact that the Samjiyon Grand Monument was built magnificently under the guidance of the Workers’ Party of Korea, they made the rounds of the groups of subsidiary theme sculptures.
