The Hoeryong Taesong Tobacco Factory in the DPRK marked its 60th founding anniversary.

The factory is associated with the leadership feats of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il. The President personally set its site and guided its construction and the Chairman laid a foundation for sustained development by taking measures for radical progress in revitalizing its production and upgrading its equipment.

As befits the officials and employees of the factory associated with leadership exploits of the great leaders, they have highly displayed the mettle of the working class by making a big stride in modernizing their factory in recent ten years.

The factory has completed its production processes in an effective way by inventing and introducing tens of technical innovation proposals every year and carried out the production plan without fail by reinforcing its production bases of self-reliance.

A meeting took place on Wednesday to mark the 60th founding anniversary of the factory.

Present there were Kim Yong Hwan, chief secretary of the North Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, officials concerned and employees of the factory.

At the meeting, Kim Yong Hwan conveyed a congratulatory message sent by the Party Central Committee to the workers, technicians and officials of the factory.
