On February 8 of Juche 112(2023) the grand military parade was held in the capital city of Pyongyang to celebrate the 75th founding anniversary of the Korean People’s Army (KPA). It was a striking demonstration which displayed to the full the might of the KPA, which has developed and strengthened as the strongest army in the world and entity of the tremendous national power. Looking at the splendid midnight parade, the whole world could not repress their envy and admiration.

Since then only a year has passed; however, the might of the KPA has skyrocketed.

Over the past one year our armed forces, following the milestones for building a powerful army set forth by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, have achieved rapid development in the work for steadily updating and perfecting the war capabilities of the army to cope with the reckless military confrontation acts of the hostile forces.

In March and April of Juche 112(2023) the successive tests of underwater strategic weapon system "Unmanned Underwater Nuclear Attack Craft ’Haeil’" and the test fire of a new-type ICBM, Hwasongpho-18 were successfully conducted and, therefore, the ceaseless development of the strategic force of the DPRK was witnessed.

In September and November of 2023 our army came to possess first tactical nuclear attack submarine and reconnaissance satellite and thus greeted the historic moment which was specially recorded in the history of our country and armed forces.

In those days our army has conducted various military drills including launching drills of ICBM Hwasongpho-17 and Hwasongpho-18, combined tactical drill simulating a nuclear counterattack, command drill involving the whole army and others. Through those drills the KPA clearly showed our anti-U.S. and anti-enemy struggle principle of power for power and head-on contest.

In January this year the test-fire of the newly-developed submarine-launched strategic cruise missile of strategic significance was successfully conducted, clearly demonstrating that a great new era of bolstering up the naval force is being ushered in.

The steadfast elevation of our great military and technical strength, which doubles confidence of the progressive humanity but strikes extreme uneasiness and horror into enemies, is a precious fruition brought about by the energetic guidance and self-sacrificing devotion of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un, the peerlessly brilliant commander.

As it upholds in high esteem the respected General Secretary as the top leader, the KPA will display its might to the full as the invincible strong army forever.
