The DPRK players fully demonstrated the dignity and honor of Juche Korea by setting new world records in succession at the 2024 Asian Weightlifting Championships. The admirable sons and daughters of the DPRK returned home in triumph after rocking the world weightlifting circle.

At least 190 men and women players from more than 30 countries and regions took part in the championships. Eleven DPRK players set seven new world records and won 33 medals in total including 32 gold medals and one silver medal.

Men and women weightlifters were warmly greeted by members of the National Sports Guidance Committee, officials of the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports, the Weightlifting Association, officials concerned and their families at Pyongyang International Airport on February 10.

Sportspersons warmly congratulated the weightlifters, presenting garlands and bouquets to them.
