A joint seminar was held in Mexico on Feb. 7 in the run-up to the birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il.

Present there were personages of the People’s Socialist Party of Mexico and members of organizations for the study of the Juche Idea and for friendship and solidarity with the Korean people.

There were a keynote address and speeches at the seminar.

The general secretary of the Central Committee of the People’s Socialist Party of Mexico said in his keynote speech that the most brilliant one of the achievements made by Comrade Kim Jong Il, the great leader of the Korean people, was that he firmly safeguarded Korean-style socialism in the face of harsh trials and powerfully advanced the global socialist movement by pursuing the Songun politics.

The international secretary of the C.C., People’s Socialist Party of Mexico, the chairperson of the Mexican Institute for the Study of the Juche Idea, the chairperson of the Mexico-Korea Solidarity Committee and other speakers praised Kim Jong Il for his Songun leadership exploits. And they noted that the Korean people are working hard to implement the resolutions of the 8th Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea, rallied close around the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

They also wished the Korean people bigger success in the efforts to beef up the military capability for self-defence and build a powerful socialist nation.

The participants looked round photos and picture albums showing the amazing achievements made by the Korean people in building up the economy and defence under the guidance of General Secretary Kim Jong Un.

They also watched a video showing the new era of overall development in the DPRK, which was brought by the great leadership of the General Secretary.
