Seminars on the exploits of Chairman Kim Jong Il and famous works of the peerlessly great man took place in Bangladesh, Cambodia, Pakistan, Romania, Britain, the Czech Republic, Algeria, Switzerland and Finland from Feb. 3 to 10 on the occasion of the Day of the Shining Star (birthday of Kim Jong Il).
Speeches were made at the seminars attended by personages of political parties and organizations of relevant countries, members of the Juche idea study organizations and organizations for friendship and solidarity with the Korean people.
The chairman of the Bangladesh Group for the Study of the Songun Policy said that Kim Jong Il was an outstanding leader who defended socialism of the DPRK and the destiny of its people with his unique Songun politics, adding that his Songun politics enabled the DPRK to demonstrate to the world its might as a politico-ideological power and a military power.
The vice-chairman of the FUNCINPEC Party of Cambodia said that President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il were the closest friends of Great King Norodom Sihanouk.
Personages of the Karachi Women’s Organization for the Study of the Juche Idea, the Karachi Juche Idea Study Center and the Karachi Youth and Students Organization for the Study of the Juche Idea said that the Day of the Shining Star is the most significant and auspicious holiday common to mankind for not only the Korean people but also the world progressives.
The chairman of the Socialist Party of Romania paid high tribute to Kim Jong Il, an extraordinary thinker and theoretician and outstanding strategist, on the occasion of the Day of the Shining Star. The chairman of the Algeria-Korea Friendship Association praised Kim Jong Il as a peerless patriot and outstanding leader who made an endless journey of patriotic devotion all his life to provide the people with happiness.
The first vice-chairman of the Czech Group for the Study and Materialization of the Juche Idea praised Kim Jong Il as the great leader and iron-willed brilliant commander who led the Korean revolution to victory under the uplifted banner of independence against imperialism.
The chairman of the Korean Friendship Association UK said that the Day of the Shining Star is kept in the mind of mankind as the birth anniversary of the great defender of independence, justice and socialism.
The chief of the Swiss Group for the Study of the Juche Idea and other participants in the seminar praised Kim Jong Il’s famous work "Abuses of Socialism Are Intolerable", saying that the work encourages the countries aspiring to progress and socialism and the anti-imperialist independent forces and serves as a banner of victory guaranteeing the dynamic advance of the world socialist movement.
The international secretary of the Finnish Communists’ League said that Kim Jong Il’s famous work "Let Us Live Not Merely for Today But for Tomorrow" is an immortal work showing his noble outlook on the rising generation.
