A national oratorical meeting took place at the People’s Palace of Culture here on Wednesday to mark the 82nd birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il.

Present there were Ju Chang Il, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, Jon Kyong Chol, vice department director of the C.C., WPK, Sung Jong Gyu, minister of Culture, and officials and working people in Pyongyang.

At the oratorical meeting, the performers highly praised the immortal career and exploits of Chairman Kim Jong Il, who devoted his all to the prosperity of the country and happiness of the people all his life, and referred to the greatness of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, who ushered in the new era of overall state prosperity with his outstanding and seasoned leadership.

They said in excited tones that the credit for the present country and happy life of the people goes to the sacred life of Kim Jong Il who covered an untrodden and unexplored path with superhuman energy with his noble outlook on life to become the root of supporting the country even by devoting himself.

They told about the greatness of the leadership of Kim Jong Un, who has brought into reality the patriotic desire of Kim Jong Il for a powerful country while ushering in the era of the our state-first principle on this land, the era of glory unprecedented in the 5 000-year-long history of the nation.

They ardently called on all the people in the country to successfully implement the Party’s resolutions and bring a fresh victory of the overall state prosperity without fail under the slogan "Unite with patriotism!"
