All the people and service personnel in the DPRK significantly celebrated the 82nd birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il, the greatest auspicious holiday of the nation.

The whole country was deeply moved by the yearning and reverence for Chairman Kim Jong Il on the occasion of the February holiday.

An endless stream of yearning for Kim Jong Il visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the sacred temple of Juche, where President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il lie in state, and the statues of the great leaders and mosaics picturing their smiling images across the country.

Working people visited photo exhibitions in every province (municipality) to recollect the noble life of Kim Jong Il, the father of the people, who always found himself among them and devoted himself to the prosperity of posterity.

Songs of yearning for Kim Jong Il and songs praising the great man resounded across the country, celebrating the February spring holiday.

Youth and students across the country had cheerful dancing parties.

A model aircraft demonstration of players of the provincial air club took place in Kanggye City amid the interest of working people, youth and students.

Pupils across the country joined the Korean Children’s Union.

The people’s happy laughter was heard at cultural recreation grounds and public catering establishments in Pyongyang.

Fireworks were displayed in Samjiyon City, the sacred place of the revolution, that evening.

Meanwhile, fireworks were also displayed in Nampho Municipality, Sinuiju, Chongjin, Hyesan and other cities to add to the festive mood.
