DPRK Premier Inspects South Phyongan Province and Nampho Municipality

Premier Kim Tok Hun, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea and vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, inspected various sectors of South Phyongan Province and Nampho Municipality.

Learning in detail about the immediate farming preparations and the grain processing at farms and food administration stations in Sukchon, Mundok and Ryonggang counties, the premier encouraged the officials and working people in the dynamic struggle to implement the resolutions of the 9th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Party Central Committee.

He stressed the need to manure and cultivate wheat and barley in a scientific and technological way and make preparations for coping with the disastrous abnormal weather in a far-sighted way so as to bring about a good harvest in earlier crop farming. And he urged the agricultural guidance organs and relevant units to prioritize the production and supply of farm machine accessories and farming materials.

He said that the food administration stations should steadily intensify the research into updating the grain processing process so as to provide its economic effectiveness and scientific and technological guarantee in reality, true to the Party’s policy on processing grain well and supplying them to the people.

Making rounds of the construction site for a regional-industry factory in Sukchon County to be built under the Party’s Regional Development 20×10 Policy, he learned about its site, scale and rationality of production capacity and discussed the issues related to the creation of raw material base.

Meanwhile, at the designing panel of the non-permanent central committee for promoting Regional Development 20×10 Policy, the premier discussed the ways for completing the designing of regional-industry factories in a short span of time as planned and intended by the Party Central Committee and took measures to finish the production of school uniforms in a qualitative way at the Aeguk Knitwear Factory before the new school year.
