Staff members of the Russian embassy here laid a wreath before the Liberation Tower on February 23 on the occasion of the Day of Defenders of the Motherland.

Present at the wreath-laying ceremony were Ambassador Alexandr Matsegora, Military Attache Valeri Isaenko and other members of the Russian embassy.

A wreath in the name of the Russian embassy was laid at the tower.

The participants paid a silent tribute to fallen fighters of the Soviet Army and looked round the tower.

On the same day, staff members of the Russian embassy also placed a wreath, bouquets and flowers at the cemetery of fallen fighters of the Soviet Army in Sadong District, Pyongyang Municipality.
