Among the rare and beautiful living monuments in our country is Kimhwa David Elm.

The 500-odd-year old Ulmus davidiana grows about 1 kilometers southeast of the township of Kimhwa County at the bank of Kumsong stream in Kangwon Province.

It is 21 meters high with 5.7 meters of root neck round and 22 meters of crown.

It has 12 big branches in total.

The big old tree adds to the natural scenery of the area and has a significance in research.
