During our legwork ahead of the February holiday we were attracted by a woman in front of the Ryugyong Service Complex.

She was wearing a gentle smile on her face seeing the flowerpot stands decorated with various beautiful flowers.

We acquainted ourselves with her and she is Jang Son Hui, manageress of the Taedonggang District Floriculture Station.

She told us that she feels great pride when people are pleasant seeing flowers in full bloom in the street.

She continued that the employees of the floriculture station sometimes make a night walk to secure new flower seedlings and gather fallen leaves in parks despite cold weather.

However, we are proud of that they enhance the beauty of scenery of the capital city, she said, adding:

"We increased the production of flower seedlings by using effective active plant fertilizer made on our own. We will produce tens of thousands of more flowers than last year. The beautiful flowers in full bloom will emit sweet fragrance in the streets of the capital city."

Indeed, their pride of beautifying Pyongyang with flowers is boundless.
