Ryonggok School is situated in Mt Ryongak.

Ryonggok School was built in 1656 and the present one was rebuilt in 1713.

Ryonggok School has the hall district and the shrine district.

There are the East House and the West House (dormitories) in the left and right of yard. Ascending stairs towards the north and passing through the inner gate, there are the shrine and a pavilion for monument.

Ryonggok School visited by President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il has been well preserved in the original state thanks to our Party’s policy of protecting national heritages.

Ryonggok School has been registered as a national treasure.
