In hearty response to the resolutions of the Ninth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, several mines in the mining industrial sector of the DPRK fulfilled their national economic plans for February.

Officials of the Ministry of Mining Industry drew up technical guidelines for increasing tunneling and blasting efficiency and distributed them to mines and, at the same time, turned the technical innovation movement into a mass-based one.

Technicians and workers of the Unpha Mine provided a scientific and technological guarantee for realizing the domestic production of reagents needed for production in close contact with relevant units and made a contribution to revitalizing production by applying advanced working methods.

The Hyesan Youth Mine over-fulfilled its daily quotas by introducing blasting methods suited to the actual conditions and manufacturing accessories by itself to improve the performance of equipment.

Workers and technicians of the Phungnyon and Yongyu mines have produced more apatite concentrate, as compared with the same period of last year, by raising the operation rate of equipment.
