"We Become Happier Day after Day"

Thanks to the love of the motherly Party, a new era of rural development is being unfolded even in my hometown, Kapsan County which is a remote mountainous area.

Actually, whenever I saw the new dwelling houses mushrooming in the capital city of Pyongyang and the people who moved into them on TV, I felt very enviable and thought when the marvelous new houses would be built in our county.

However, it was a needless uneasiness.

A battalion of Party members of Pyongyang which came to our farm true to the appeal made by the respected General Secretary has been building new dwellings for two years. This year, a cultural centre, a hospital and comprehensive welfare service facilities are to be built in our hometown together with 40-odd production buildings and public establishments as standard.

Last year, I was allotted a new house.

On the unforgettable day when I moved into the new house, I confirmed my will again and again to bring about a bumper harvest in repay for the Party’s love. Last year, I yielded 10 tons of rice per hectare in a low-yielding field and 13.5 tons of maize.

Some time ago, I begot a lovely son as a pleasure of my family.

Indeed, the unlimited loving care reaches every place of the country including my hometown, a remote mountainous area, and our happiness gets greater day after day. How happy we are under the great bosom of the Party.

Whenever I see the new happy house, I brace up myself to repay the great and deep benevolence of the respected General Secretary.

"All Our Dreams Are Realized by Party"

It has been a year since a new rural village was built in my village Munyang-ri.

However, I can never forget the impressive day when I was provided with a new house.

To tell the truth, when the brilliant modern houses were erected in the farm village and the allotment begun, my husband and I had an intimate desire to be owners of a new house.

But I thought that it was conscienceless because I contributed few to the development of the farm and never to the new dwelling construction.

However, the Party’s warm love reached to my family.

I was allotted a new modern dwelling as the others.

Moving into the new house, my husband and I keenly felt again that all our dreams are realized into reality thanks to the Party who takes care of all the people on this land.

On that night, we pledged ourselves to repay the benevolence of the country by hard working.

We will perform our pledge without fail by doing farming well.

Son’s Desire Realized

Not long ago, I received a wire from my son that he would drop in at his home on vacation after graduating from military academy, saying that he was expected to arrive at home in the afternoon.

But he entered home late in the evening for enjoying a bird’s-eye view of his native place on the mountain in front of the village.

As soon as he came into home, he expressed his admiration for the face-lifted village.

My husband and I had wanted to inform my son of the news of receiving such splendid dwelling house, then we were greatly glad to see him entering the house.

On that evening, we told my son about the occurrences after moving into the new dwelling house all the night.

That day my son said to us that when he had gone to his classmate’s house before joining the army, he had felt envy of the wide house, wishing to live in such a house, adding that now he has nothing to envy any more.

The motherly Party solved my son’s desire thus.

Together with the son on his vacation, we planted more fruit trees around the house and put flowerpots by the window.

I will repay the Party’s love which has provided ordinary farmers with new life as well off as the citizens by reaping a rich harvest without fail.
