With Our Own Efforts

The news that the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un gave field guidance to the regional-industry factories in Kimhwa County on February 7 impressed all the people and many of them volunteered to work at rural dwelling house construction sites. Among those people are women in the township of Kumgang County.

Though they have done many works for the society and the collective, they have regarded their deeds as fairy trifling, as compared to the benevolence of the Party which ensures that the modern factories are to be built in their native place. Therefore, they volunteered to work at the dwelling house construction site in Hwachon-ri, which was tens of ri away from the township.

When they were informed that the knotty problem arising in the construction was production of cement blocks, they willingly shouldered it. It was not easy for them, but they worked perseveringly. Despite the fatigue, they sang revolutionary songs to builders during the intervals to encourage them.

Though they worked all day long, they slipped out to the riverside to produce gravel and sand for next day’s construction when the night fell.

Their appearances were common and simple, but their patriotism is pure, genuine and beautiful indeed.

Though It Was Not Much

The February 8 Jikdong Youth Coal Mine has shock brigade members lauded by all the coal mine villagers. They are shock brigade members of the 1st battalion under the 2nd brigade of the August 28 Youth Shock Brigade.

Several days ago the villagers saw the shock brigade members gathering the coal dropped on the road by the coal carriers. After some time they came to know that they did not gather coal for the sake of heating.

The shock brigade members said to them as follows: "In the past we never paid attention to the dropped coal, though we came and went along this road. But now, we know that how arduously the coal miners produce coal and we cannot overlook those coal dropped on the road. Therefore, we have gathered dropped coal to send them to the coal mine."

The coal they gathered was a trifling amount as compared to the coal produced for a day. However, the people were deeply impressed by their pure and precious patriotism.

Since then not only the coal mine villagers but also the drivers have helped the shock brigade members rolling up their sleeves.

The coal production result getting high day by day is, indeed, associated with the warm patriotism of the young shock brigade members and other people who are eager to find even one more good deed for country.
