Our Party now puts it forward as a political task that must be fulfilled without fail in switching over to the period of overall development of socialism to give priority to improving the regional and rural living environment. Upholding the grandiose plan and intention of the Party, officials and working people in Pyongyang Municipality conducted tree planting at the newly-built rural villages.

From late February to early March thousands of trees of dozens of species were planted in the municipality.

The officials of the municipal Party Committee conducted the vigorous command and organization in creating landscape of rural villages on the basis of review on last year’s greening and afforestation.

They gave primary efforts into design of greening and conducted the demonstration of model.

The officials of Rangnang and Ryokpho districts set examples in tree planting.

Those in Sadong, Taesong, Sunan and other districts maintained quality of tree planting and took substantial measures to raise the rate of survivals of the trees.

Now, Pyongyang Municipality puts greater spurs to greening and afforestation of rural villages continuously.
