A joint performance by the National Acrobatic Troupe and the National Folk Art Troupe was given at the Pyongyang Circus Theater here on March 8 to mark the 114th International Women’s Day.

Among the audience were Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the C.C., Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK), first vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People’s Assembly, and other senior officials of the Party and the government, officials of the Central Committee of the women’s union and women workers in Pyongyang Municipality.

Put on the stage were hymns to the WPK, which has put the dignity and position of women on the highest level and translated all their wishes into reality with noble political administration and deep trust and warm love, and songs in praise of women reverberating in the sky of the socialist country generation after generation.

The performers well represented the beautiful and happy life and noble mental world of the Korean women who are displaying their dignity to the full at the grand flower garden of attaching importance to the women.

Physical acrobatics, comic acrobatics and other numbers added pleasure to the holiday.

The performance was acclaimed by the audience.
