A national experience-sharing meeting in the field of forestry took place at the Sci-Tech Complex in Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK, on Wednesday via video-conferencing.

Present there were officials, scientists, technicians, teachers, graduate students and others from more than 100 units including Kim Il Sung University, the State Academy of Sciences, the Forest Guidance Bureau of the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection, and provincial forest science institutes.

The meeting heard the presentation of scientific and technological successes and experience, including the scientific creating of forests of economic value, rational method of transplanting big trees and technical issues arising in raising the survival rate. And there was a question-and-answer session.

There was also a technical lecture on the creation of forests of economic value suited to the specific features of regions.
