Ceremony of Moving into New Houses Given at Kangdong Greenhouse Complex

A ceremony of moving into new houses was given at the Kangdong Greenhouse Complex which has been built as the world’s leading modern large-scale vegetable producer, true to the long-cherished desire of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK).

The magnificent farm town, where diverse styles of low- and multi-story terraced dwelling houses, schools, hall of culture, comprehensive welfare service facilities and parks are beautifully arranged to suit the large group of greenhouses, is another model entity born of the efforts to create Korean-style rural civilization.

The ceremony of moving into new houses took place at the Kangdong Greenhouse Complex on March 27.

Present there were Kim Su Gil, chief secretary of the Pyongyang Municipal Committee of the WPK, Ri Man Song, chairman of the Pyongyang Municipal Rural Economy Committee, Ri Myong Chol, secretary of the Pyongyang Municipal Committee of the WPK, officials of the Party and power organs in Kangdong County and officials and employees of the Kangdong Greenhouse Complex.

Choe Hui Thae, chairman of the Pyongyang Municipal People’s Committee, in his congratulatory speech, congratulated the employees of the greenhouse complex on owning the dwelling houses built under the loving care of the Party.

The ceremony of moving into new houses that followed the completion and inauguration of the greenhouse complex - the materialization of the people’s ideal - is the brilliant fruition of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un’s ardent devotion and wise leadership, he said.

The speaker called upon all the officials and employees of the greenhouse complex to take good care of their workplaces and dwelling houses and put the production of various kinds of tasty and nutritious vegetables on a normal basis so as to further develop the complex into a treasure farm and world-class large-scale greenhouse vegetable producer which substantially plays a part in bettering the diet of the capital city citizens.

Licenses for the use of the houses were handed over to the employees at the meeting. Then oath-taking speeches were made there.

When the moving into the new houses began, cheerful dancing was displayed.

Officials of the Party and power organs in Pyongyang Municipality visited the new dwelling houses to congratulate their owners and provide them with daily necessities.
