University graduates in Jagang and South Phyongan provinces of the DPRK joined the ranks of young volunteers translating into reality their ideals and hope at the worksites called by the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK).
More than 20 graduates from Kanggye University of Education and Kanggye Teachers Training College in Jagang Province volunteered to work at revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu and schools in mountainous areas.
Graduates from various universities in South Phyongan Province vowed to devote themselves to the education of the rising generation.
The certificate of petition was conferred on those volunteers at congratulatory meetings attended by Ri Kyong Chol, chief secretary of the South Phyongan Provincial Committee of the WPK, Jon Yong Jae, secretary of the Jagang Provincial Committee of the WPK, officials concerned, officials of the youth league and youth and students.
After the congratulatory performance, officials and students gave encouragement to the volunteers, presenting them with educational experimental apparatuses, teaching aids and souvenirs.
