The 27th National Cooking Festival took place at the Pyongyang Noodle House from April 2 to 5 to mark the birth anniversary of President
Taking part in the festival were cooks, waitresses, university students and housewives selected from ministries, national agencies, the capital city of Pyongyang and provinces.
Presented to the festival were specific foods, various drinks and more than 140 sci-tech achievements.
Displayed at the food sci-tech achievement exhibition were valuable inventions, helpful to putting foods on a scientific and standard basis, in the mode of actual foods, visual aids and videos.
There were a skill competition and demonstration among cooks and waitresses and a cooking competition among students from Pyongyang Jang Chol Gu University of Commerce and other schools and housewives in Pyongyang.
Attending the festival closing ceremony on April 5 were Kwak Jong Jun, minister of Commerce who is chairman of the C.C., Korean Association of Cooks, officials concerned and cooks, waitresses, university students and housewives selected from Pyongyang and all provinces.
At the closing ceremony, results of the jury were announced and diplomas, medals and certificates awarded to the excellent units and participants.
