National Art Exhibition Opened to Mark Birth Anniversary of President Kim Il Sung

A national art exhibition opened with due ceremony at the Korean Art Gallery here on April 9 to celebrate the 112th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.

Displayed at the exhibition venue are art pieces dealing with revolutionary exploits of President Kim Il Sung, Chairman Kim Jong Il and the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un.

The art pieces highly praise the exploits of the President who achieved the historic cause of national liberation through the bloody anti-Japanese war.

They vividly represent the fact that the deep love and trust of the illustrious commander, who braved the war flames to meet the fighting People’s Army soldiers, served as the source of the invincible strength of the brave soldiers who displayed matchless bravery, self-sacrificing spirit and heroism on every battlefield during the Fatherland Liberation War.

They also reflect the personality of Kim Il Sung as a great man who made his sacred revolutionary journey to find himself among the people.

They deal with exploits Kim Jong Il performed by devoting his all to the prosperity of the country and happiness of the people through his ceaseless high-intensity forced march.

They profoundly depict the devoted service for the people’s wellbeing, being made by General Secretary Kim Jong Un who has put the dignity and might of the DPRK on the highest level, translating the people’s dreams and ideals into brilliant reality.

On display are also art works vividly showing the proud appearance of the country and the ever-blooming happiness of the people.

Present at the opening ceremony were Ju Chang Il, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, officials concerned, officials and creators in the field of fine art and working people in Pyongyang.

Minister of Culture Sung Jong Gyu made an opening address.
