Moving into New Houses in DPRK

Culture 2024.4.14.

The seat village of the Kuso Farm under the Pyongyang Municipal Rural Economy Committee has undergone a radical change.

Low- and single-storied modern houses for several hundred families appeared in the village, displaying the validity and vitality of the Workers’ Party of Korea’s policy of rural construction to provide the agricultural workers with a highly-civilized and happy life.

A ceremony for moving into those new houses took place on the spot on April 12.

Present there were Ri Kun Sok, secretary of the Pyongyang Municipal Committee of the WPK, officials of the Party and power organs, builders and agricultural workers in Sunan District.

Hong Hyon, vice-chairperson of the Pyongyang Municipal People’s Committee, made a congratulatory address.

Licenses for the use of the houses were handed over and speeches were made at the ceremony.

The speakers expressed deep gratitude to the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un, who set it as an important task to radically improve the rural living environment and is putting the agricultural workers on the highest level of civilization.

Amid the playing of peasant music and the display of cheerful dance, the moving into new houses began.

Officials visited the owners of new houses to share joy with them, offering them daily necessities.
