The patriotic enthusiasm of the rising generation regarding military service as their greatest pride is mounting among graduates of senior middle schools in Nampho Municipality of the DPRK.

A meeting between those graduates, who volunteered to serve in the foremost posts for national defence, and war veterans took place at the Nampho Municipal Youth Open-Air Theatre on Friday.

Present there were officials of the Nampho Municipal Committee of the youth league, graduates of senior middle schools in the districts of Hanggu, Kangso and Taean, Onchon County and other areas and students in the Municipality.

A congratulatory speech was made at the meeting.

The speaker congratulated the graduates who volunteered to serve the People’s Army with a resolve to become honorable defenders reliably guarding the security of the country and safety of the people.

He called for firmly defending the beloved country with arms and glorifying every moment of military service with proud military feats by inheriting the heroic fighting spirit and traits displayed by the great victorious wartime generation.

The veterans said with pride that thanks to the Juche-oriented military ideas, war methods, strategy and tactics of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il, the Korean people created and glorified the history and tradition of proud victory in the centuries-long confrontation with the imperialists and the U.S.

They handed over to the graduates the flag of the DPRK shining with the noble soul of the defenders of the country of the preceding generation and asked them to surely accomplish the great cause of building a rich country with strong army, true to the ideas and leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

A congratulatory performance was given at the meeting.
