Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) and supreme commander of the armed forces of the DPRK, received a message of greeting from General Raul Castro Ruz of Cuba on April 15.

Raul Castro Ruz in the message extended warm greetings to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un on the occasion of the 112th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.

The message said that the friendly relationship between the peoples of the two countries and between the two parties and the two states is based on the struggle to build a socialist society, defend the national sovereignty and oppose the aggression of the U.S. imperialists.

This is the cornerstone of the deep personal relations between the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung and Supreme Commander Fidel Castro Ruz and the invariable principle of consolidating the special relations between the two countries, the message stressed.

Raul Castro Ruz in the message reaffirmed the steadfast will to strengthen the historic bilateral relations and continue to develop the mutual solidarity and the relations of support and cooperation for the well-being of the peoples of the two countries.
