On April 25 of Juche 21(1932) President Kim Il Sung founded the Anti-Japanese People’s Guerilla Army on the tableland of Tuqidian and proclaimed its founding to the world.

At the founding ceremony of the Anti-Japanese People’s Guerrilla Army the President made a historic address "On the occasion of founding the Anti-Japanese People’s Guerrilla Army."

In his address he clarified the characteristics and mission of the Anti-Japanese People’s Guerilla Army and indicated the tasks and ways arising in strengthening the guerilla army and waging the armed struggle on a full scale.

The Anti-Japanese People’s Guerilla Army was a new-type revolutionary army and the Juche-oriented armed forces of working class and people which regarded the Juche idea as its lifeblood.

The guerilla army was the most revolutionary and genuine armed forces in terms of fighting target, ideology, mission, fighting principle and qualitative composition, which could be found nowhere else in the world.

Thanks to the founding of the Anti-Japanese People’s Guerilla Army, our people came to have their genuine revolutionary armed forces and trustworthy driving force and victoriously advanced the revolution.
