One November day in Juche 103(2014) the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un visited a foodstuff factory.

After exchanging greetings with officials of the factory, the General Secretary looked around the buildings and compound of the factory.

He expressed great satisfaction at the panoramic view of the remodeled factory.

Having a pleasant conversation with the officials, the General Secretary went to the production building.

He entered the combined production control room and saw a large display saying that the factory established an integrated production system.

He persuaded an official to explain the process of the production. After carefully listening to the official’s explanation, he said that foodstuff factories should follow the factory to modernize the production processes at a high level.

He continued:

Now not a few units import most of facilities to modernize their units. But, they should have correct understanding about modernization.

Modernization by importing foreign facilities, not by our own efforts and technology, cannot be modernization in the sense of original meaning. It is nothing but a branch of a foreign company.

Modernization our Party requests is the modernization based on our Juche-oriented forces and our technology, not by foreign forces and technology.

His meaningful instructions carry the philosophical principle that holding dear and adding brilliance to our own things is just genuine patriotism for brining earlier the prosperity of the country and that the foundation of our self-supporting economy be strengthened when modernization is pushed forward with by our own style.
