Kim Jong Un, president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, received a reply message from Bashar Al-Assad, president of the Syrian Arab Republic, on April 25.

In the message, the Syrian president expressed deep thanks to Kim Jong Un for having extended congratulations and support and encouragement to the Syrian people on the 78th anniversary of the independence of Syria.

The message expressed belief that the solid relations of friendship and cooperation between the Syrian Arab Republic and the DPRK based on mutual respect and understanding would continue to grow stronger in the future, too, in the interests of the peoples of the two countries and the world people.

It expressed the will to make greater efforts to further develop the relations between the two countries and open up a new prospect of bilateral cooperation, overcoming challenges ahead.
