The following happened when Typhoon No. 13 was expected to influence the whole area of the DPRK in September Juche 108(2019).

After calling an official, the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un said to him that Typhoon No. 13 was moving towards our country and with regard to that, he would declare a state of emergency at the meeting of relevant officials at social organs and in field of armed forces which was to be held the next morning.

Then he stressed the need to set up the state control system and mobilize manpower and material resources of the country to prevent damage by Typhoon No. 13.

In fact, in regard to Typhoon No. 13, the emergency mobilization order had already been given to the whole Party in that morning; however, he determined to convene the urgent meeting for taking emergency measures to protect the lives and property of the people from the typhoon.

The following day, the emergency enlarged meeting of the Central Military Commission of the Workers’ Party of Korea was held under the guidance of the respected General Secretary.

The meeting heard a report on the analysis of the intensity, estimated course and character of Typhoon No. 13 rapidly moving towards our country, vulnerable areas and extent of the expected damage and discussed the issue of taking state urgent emergency measures to cope with the typhoon.

The respected General Secretary stressed the need to arouse the whole Party, the entire army and all the people to the campaign for minimizing the damage by Typhoon No. 13 and indicated the key issues urgently arising in the campaign.

Thanks to the attentive care and wise guidance of the respected General Secretary who values the most the people’s lives and property, our people made all necessary preparations for minimizing the damage by Typhoon No.13 before successfully surmounting a severe natural disaster.

After the danger of typhoon was completely removed, our people said to themselves with emotion:
