With These Nice People

One day, when Pak Se Myong, a worker at the mixed raw materials workshop of the Sangwon Cement Complex, returned home after daily work, officials of the workshop visited him with lots of coal.

In fact, he had run out of fuel but he hadn’t told anyone about it.

He was so surprised.

He felt a lump in his throat, reminding himself of good care the officials had taken of him, who had once deviated from the right path, without blaming him.

A few days after that, the officials visited him again with staple and non-staple food. Keenly feeling the warm-heartedness of the officials, he made up his mind to repay the trust of the collective and comrades with success in his work.

Seeing the officials off, he felt convinced that nothing is impossible for him to do as long as he works with such nice people.

Helping One Another

At the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex, smelters of the steel workshop and workers in the continuous roughing field help one another and share joy with each other.

Some days ago, a piece of equipment at the steel workshop got out of order.

The repair would take several hours but it could lead to a great hindrance to the repair of the furnace in the future.

At that pressing time, the officials and workers in the continuous roughing field arrived at the spot. They had carried with them heavy spare accessories and even helped the smelters with the repair of the equipment.

Thanks to their devotion, the smelters could carry out that day’s production plan.

Like this, the officials and workers in the continuous roughing field frequently helped the smelters with their work, and vice versa.

Such concerted efforts bring them greater successes in their production.

How They Grew into Group of Veteran Peasants

Work-team No. 6 of Manhung Farm in Mundok County, with Hyon Jong Rim as its head, is known as a group of veteran peasants.

The members of the work-team say that they could get the honor of a work-team of solid farmers and a high-yielding work-team as they were united as one and helped and led one another forward.

Primary officials of the work-team including Hyon Jong Rim paid deep attention to the farmers’ living and led them to take an active part in farm work. They made efforts to solve the problems arising in the work-team members’ lives and unite them into one.

So, the members friendly call them "our work-team head" and "our agitator" and follow them. Amid this harmonious atmosphere, many members grew into core elements of the work-team and high-yielding farmers.

They are now full of eagerness to reap another bumper harvest this year by highly displaying the collectivist spirit.
