Agricultural Workers Move into New Houses in DPRK

Agricultural workers of the Songgum Livestock Farm of the Pyongyang Municipal Rural Economy Committee in the DPRK are full of joy of having become enjoyers of rural civilization in the new era along with the renewed appearance of the socialist cultural countryside.

A ceremony for moving into new houses took place on May 13.

Present there were Ri Un Sok, secretary of the Pyongyang Municipal Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, officials of Party and power organs in Kangdong County, officials and builders of the units which contributed to the construction and agricultural workers.

Hong Kum Chol, vice-chairman of the Pyongyang Municipal People’s Committee, made a congratulatory address.

The licenses for the use of new houses were handed over to agricultural workers and speeches were made.

They moved into the new houses amid the playing of songs and cheerful dance.

Officials visited the new houses to give their owners daily necessities and share joy with them.
