Culture 2024.5.22.

In the new era of rural development, modern houses for hundreds of families have appeared in the seat village of the Juksang Farm in Pukchong County, South Hamgyong Province of the DPRK.

Those houses are associated with the loving care of the motherly Workers’ Party of Korea which has striven to provide the agricultural workers with a better civilized life.

Builders and working people built low- and single-storied and terraced houses and shared stalls and planted apple, apricot, persimmon and other trees around the houses to add beauty to the village.

A ceremony for moving into the houses took place in the village on May 19.

Present there were Choe Hung Jo, secretary of the South Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the WPK, officials and builders in Pukchong County and the working people who would move into those houses.

Kim Yong Sik, chairman of the South Hamgyong Provincial People’s Committee, made a congratulatory address.

Then licenses for the use of houses were handed and speeches made.

Amid the display of dancing party, officials visited the new houses to present their owners with daily necessities and congratulate them.
