The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea is a beautiful country with abundant precious wealth which is good to live.

There are numerous living monuments being preserved well thanks to our Party’s noble intention and policy on conservation of nature.

Among them is Paekak Falls situated in Chonbulsan-ri, Yonggwang County of South Hamgyong Province.

Paekak Falls begins from the south foot of Mt Chonbul.

Oak, pine, Korea larch and other trees grow in the surroundings of the falls forming dense woods and abysmal ravines.

Paekak Falls pours down over the granitic cliff of steep slope of over 75 degrees, giving splendid and beautiful scenery.

The falls has rich quantity of water all the year round. Green woods and autumnal tints add to natural scenery of Paekak Falls.

Magnificent, mysterious and peculiar Paekak Falls matches well with the trees taking root on rocks.
