Sports and amusement games took place at the East Pyongyang Stadium on Wednesday to celebrate the 78th founding anniversary of the Korean Children’s Union (KCU).

Among the spectators were Ri Tu Song, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, officials of the youth league and participants in the celebrations for the 78th founding anniversary of the KCU.

Mun Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, made a speech.

Then the men’s and women’s finals of the 9th National Children’s Football Games took place.

Men and women players of Pyongyang Municipality won the title in the women’s football match between the Pyongyang Municipal team and the Kangwon Provincial team and in the men’s football match between the Pyongyang Municipal team and the South Phyongan Provincial team.

Colorful amusement games revved up the atmosphere of the stadium.

The Taekwon-Do demonstration of schoolchildren of Pyongyang Municipality colorfully decorated the end of sports and amusement games.

At the end of the games, the standings were announced and letters of commendation, cups and medals were awarded to the organizations which proved successful.
