Women’s union primary information workers in the DPRK launched a study tour of the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu.

A kick-off meeting of the expedition took place in the plaza before the statue of President Kim Il Sung at the Samjiyon Grand Monument on Saturday.

Ri Hyang Suk, vice-chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Women’s Union of Korea, made an address at the meeting to be followed by speeches.

The speakers called upon all the expedition members to more deeply grasp the exploits of the peerlessly great men associated with the theaters of the revolution, and the noble intention of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un who made a ceaseless march to the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu.

They stressed the need to accelerate the march to Mt Paektu, with the trust of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea kept in their mind, and demonstrate the might of the women’s union in the on-going general advance for hastening the comprehensive development of Korean-style socialism with the strong spiritual power and patriotic devotion of the Korean women.

At the end of the meeting the expedition members went round the Samjiyon Grand Monument.
