The February 17 Shock Brigade of Scientists and Technicians for vigorously promoting the work of implementing the Party’s Regional Development 20×10 Policy on sci-tech basis was organized on June 5 and began its work.

This shock brigade takes it as its main duty to upgrade the production process of regional industry factories, heighten the quality of products and vitalize the production under the guidance of the non-permanent central promotion committee. And also it is to conduct the work of training technicians and skilled workers and disseminating advanced sci-tech data for solving the sci-tech problems arising in providing raw-materials for the regional industry factories.

Under the guidance of the non-permanent central promotion committee officials of the shock brigade set the plan in a realistic way in conformity with the uplifted spirit of its shock brigade members while putting efforts into providing them with work and living condition to the full.

Simultaneously, the State Science and Technology Commission vigorously promotes the work to mobilize sci-tech forces in the regions into the work of newly-organized shock brigade.

Now the February 17 Shock Brigade of Scientists and Technicians dispatched to the non-permanent central promotion committee strives to display its might to the full.
