Symposium of Social Scientists in DPRK

A symposium of social scientists took place on Monday to mark the 60th anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il’s start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

The symposium heard papers explaining and proving the immortal Party-building exploits of the peerlessly great men who developed the WPK into the revolutionary Party of Juche with their distinguished ideas and leadership and ushered in a heyday of strengthening the whole Party by steadily enhancing its leadership role. The papers were made public by Ri Yong Chol, section chief of the Academy of Social Sciences, Hong Kwang Chol, head of a department of University of National Economy, U Sang Ho, a researcher at the Central Cadres Training School of the WPK, and Ri Yong Chol, section chief of Kim Il Sung University.

Speakers said that Kim Jong Il’s start of work at the supreme headquarters of the Korean revolution was a historic event that marked a new milestone in the development of the WPK and the history of the Juche revolution.

They explained that he is the eternal head of the WPK who set an epochal example in building a socialist ruling party and laid an everlasting foundation for the country’s prosperity by remarkably enhancing the leadership ability of the Party.

They praised the great Comrade Kim Jong Un as the prominent leader who is bringing a golden age of the WPK’s development with his distinguished ideas and leadership.

They called upon social scientists to fulfill their duty in the sacred struggle to dye the whole Party and society with his revolutionary ideas.

Present at the symposium were Thae Hyong Chol, president of the Academy of Social Sciences, and officials, teachers and researchers from the fields of science, education and revolutionary relics and the Party cadres training institutions.
