A national symposium in the field of forest took place at the Sci-Tech Complex here on June 21.

Present there were scientists and technologists from scores of units, including the Academy of Forest Science, the Central Botanical Garden, Kanggye University of Agriculture and Forestry, provincial forest science institutes.

At the symposium, scientists in the field of forest presented valuable papers on the research into covering the whole country with trees and flowers and there were a discussion and a question-and-answer session related to practical measures.

Proposals for the methods of acclimatizing Fagus multinervis and high-yielding genetic resources of Actinidia chinensis were highly appreciated.
