For Turning All Mountains into Mountains of Gold and Treasures

One February day in Juche 104(2015), the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un, sitting in company with officials, gave them a precious instruction related with the country’s forest issue.

That day he said with deep emotion that President Kim Il Sung had climbed the Moran Hill, despite his busy schedule for building a new country after the country’s liberation from the Japanese colonial rule, to unfold the far-reaching plan for planting many trees, thus turning all mountains into the people’s paradise thickly covered with forests.

Receiving his teachings, the officials were lost in deep thought.

The forest is one of precious resources of the country to be handed over to the rising generation.

Therefore, President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il had worked heart and soul for the precious asset.

But the officials made havoc of not a few forest areas by failiing to discharge their duties.

Looking around them filled with remorse, the respected General Secretary earnestly said that anybody cannot be proud of being as the masters of the country nor can say about patriotism as long as they leave forest intact.

Presently, clarifying his steadfast determination and will to turn all the mountains into mountains of gold and treasures in the coming ten years, he stressed that the plan for restoring mountains should not remain as a figure and graph on paper.

Indeed, his meaningful teachings were another patriotic declaration reflecting his firm will to turn our country into socialist paradise thickly covered with green forests as early as possible.

Planting Turf Is Also Patriotic Work

The following happened one May day in Juche 102(2013) when the respected General Secretary visited the then newly-built Turf Institute of the Bioengineering Branch under the State Academy of Sciences.

The purpose of his visit to the institute was to know well about the biological characteristics of turf and conduct the breeding work of the selected evergreen turf, so as to spread it over the whole country, he said.

After looking round the buildings of the institute that day, he dropped in at the Scientific Research Greenhouse.

Giving detailed instructions on the characteristics of evergreen turf and the orientations of future research, he added that the turf plays an important role in protecting the land, providing hygienic living conditions and covering the land beautifully and planting turf is also patriotic work.

And he told the officials about the name of institute what he had thought.

The respected General Secretary, despite his busy state affairs, personally arranged an experimental field for turf and cultivated new species of turf there.

Indeed, the respected General Secretary is the peerless patriot who devotes his all to transforming the country into a beautiful people’s paradise good to live with the noble and patriotic will.
