Leading Them to Discharge Their Honorable Duty

One January day, Juche 103(2014), the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un visited the State Academy of Sciences, in spite of biting cold of midwinter.

That day he dropped in at the science exhibition house during his visit.

The data and exhibits proving the recent sci-tech successes achieved by the State Academy of Sciences were displayed in the exhibition house.

Seeing those exhibits, the respected General Secretary asked an official of the State Academy of Sciences what researches they put efforts into.

The official returned that they were carrying out researches on subjects badly needed for economic development such as the solution of energy problem.

Then the respected General Secretary instructed that our sci-tech research should be one conducive to demonstrating the might of the self-supporting national economy, and that the sci-tech research successes should be introduced into practice promptly.

He continued that the sci-tech sector should uplift the banner of innovation that year to achieve remarkable sci-tech successes, thus bringing about a mountain of treasure and gold with substantial sci-tech success.

Hearing his meaningful instructions, the official determined to lead the State Academy of Sciences to actively contribute to the socialist power construction by achieving great sci-tech successes.

An Affair That Everybody Must Do

The following happened in May, Juche 103(2014), when the respected General Secretary inspected a machine-building factory.

That day, seeing a plan for running sci-tech learning space which was posted on a side wall of the atrium, he asked an official of the factory how many employees had used the sci-tech learning space until then.

The official informed that the factory intended to actively run the learning space after his inspection of it.

Then the respected General Secretary admonished him that such formalism was needless, and should not do such a work of merely erecting buildings and being formal.

After a while, the respected General Secretary earnestly instructed that using the sci-tech learning space had to be regarded as a must for everybody.

Hearing his instructions, the official kept deep in mind his noble intention that the sci-tech learning space should be helpful for all the workers of the factory in studying sci-tech knowledge and worldwide trend in the building of machines.
