Modern rural villages, the praiseworthy entities created through the implementation of the programme for the rural revolution in the new era, have been built one after another in Jagang Province. Against this backdrop, new houses appeared at the Yangji Farm in Songwon County of the province.
Hundreds of low- and single-storied dwelling houses sprang up along the foot of mountain, and trees of good species and flower shrubs were planted around the new villages. They have all necessary conditions for living.
Present at the ceremony for moving into those new houses were Han Chil Song, secretary of the Jagang Provincial Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, and officials, builders and agricultural workers in the county of Songwon.
Kim Yong Chun, chairman of the provincial people’s committee, made a congratulatory address. Then licenses for using houses were handed over and speeches made.
Amid the display of cheerful peasants’ music and dance, officials visited the owners of new houses to share joy with them.
