The 21st May 21 Architectural Festival closed with due ceremony at the Sci-Tech Complex here on Friday.

Exchanged at the festival were successes and experience gained in the gigantic struggle for ushering in a great heyday of construction.

Drawing the attention of participants were architectural layouts "Jinhung" and "Huinphado" and architectural design budget-planning program "Tanphung 2024".

During the festival the participants realized the rapid development of the state through visits to the Pothong Riverside Terraced Residential District, Songhwa Street, first-and second-stage 10 000 flats in the Hwasong area and etc.

There took place an experience-sharing meeting on features for laying out structures in the project for building 10 000 flats at the third stage in the Hwasong area and a video show on intelligent city, functional concrete parts production and world greening trend.

Present at the closing ceremony were Kang Kwon Il, general director of the State General Bureau of Design, officials in the fields of architectural design, construction, scientific research and education, architects, designers, technicians, teachers, researchers and others.

Cups, diplomas, commendations and others were awarded to the organizations and participants who proved successful and prizes were conferred on them.

Sim Yong Hak, chairman of the Central Committee of the Architects Union of Korea, made a closing address.
